Sky Poker is attempting to spice up the Sunday evenings of online poker fans with their new “Sunday Roller” promotion. The event will take place at 7PM every Sunday Evening, and will allow competitive poker players to finish their weekend with a little excitement. Each weekend there’ll be an £8,000 guaranteed prize pool, and those who aren’t in the event (or who have been eliminated) will be able to follow the player’s progress by tuning in to Sky’s Poker Channel (channel 865 in the UK).
The buy-in for the event is £220, which puts it out of the reach of many casual players, but those who don’t have room in their budget for such a large buy-in will have the option to compete for entry via a satellite competition. Satellite buy-ins cost just £5.20, and will allow players to compete in a series of feeder tournaments. There are also semi-final satellites which offer a shorter route to the big tournament, at a price of £24.
The last satellite tournament takes place at 4.30PM on Sunday, so if you want to fill your weekend with poker, this is a good way to do it, and there’s a nice prize waiting at the end for the lucky winner.
